Address:  Bushy Lodge Farmhouse, Firle, Lewes, East Sussex, BN8 6LS

How to get here by car:  Bushy Lodge is situated just off the A27, a major road which runs along the south coast of England. We are between Brighton and Eastbourne, about 4 miles past Lewes if you are heading from west to east. After you pass Lewes, continue to drive along the A27 for about 4 miles. Do not take the turning right signposted ‘Firle’, but continue for another ¾ of a mile, and turn left when you see the signpost marked ‘Ripe’ and ‘Laughton’. Go along this road for about 100 yards; the road then curls round to the right – do not follow it; carry straight on down a rough concrete track (there are two cottages on your left, and a sign on the gate marked ‘Firle Estate – Private’. Go over the cattle grid, and carry on down this track for a further ½ mile and turn into the yard where you will see the house and a large old barn. You have arrived.

By train: The nearest major train station is Lewes (4 miles), and trains to Lewes run regularly from London Victoria. The train journey takes about 65 minutes. We can usually pick up guests from Lewes, but there are taxis available outside Lewes train station if necessary. (Some trains from London stop at Glynde – which is a small station closer to Bushy Lodge. If you are travelling from Brighton, trains also stop at Glynde. Let us know if you would prefer to be collected from Glynde.)

From the airports:  From all London airports apart from London Gatwick, it is probably quicker to go to central London and get a train from London Victoria to Lewes (see below). From London Gatwick, you can take a train to Lewes, which takes about 30 minutes (there is a regular service.) We can arrange for you to be collected from Heathrow or Gatwick if you prefer.
